While playing basketball at the University of Wisconsin, Curt Mueller realized that athletic training rooms were simply inadequate for serious athletes. But it wasn't until 1959 while working with his father at the family pharmacy, that his vision would change everything. Sports medicine was reborn thanks to its entrepreneurial spirit.
Curt saw a great opportunity to help athletes improve their performance and improve recovery from injury. Combining his sports experience and his pharmacology degree, he coined the terms sports medicine and sports care, giving birth to Mueller Sports Medicine.
